Directions for composing an APA formatted summary:
Step One: Start paper with an APA formatted citation of the chapter or article you are summarizing. If the citation is not in the correct APA format, 10 points will be deducted from your summary.
Step Two: The chapter summary should incorporate the major topics from the chapter. To ensure you have capture the major topics, use the bolded headings throughout the chapter as a guide and summarize content under each bolded heading. The summary must be in APA format in the following manner:
• First Page begins with citation followed by summary content
• Summarized content should be no more than three pages.
• No cover page, abstract page, and references page needed.
• No in-text citations in the summary.
• Page double-spaced text and all margins set at 1inch.
• Font Size is set at 12 and suggested Font type is Times New Roman
