WRITE MY ESSAY

Students are exposed to several theories throughout their counseling programs. It is often challenging for students to identify the theory with which they are most comfortable. This assignment challenges students to “think outside of the box” while still maintaining a consistent theoretical approach with ONE theory when working with children or adolescents. While many counselors do utilize an integrative or eclectic approach, it is very important that new counselors are able to embed their focus in one area and become comfortable with utilizing techniques within that approach prior to integrating theoretical perspectives.
This assignment allows students to be creative when choosing ONE specific theory and developing strategies that focus on either Adlerian Play Therapy, Attachment-Based Approaches, Gestalt Therapy, or Existential Therapy. These approaches are the focus of Chapters 5 and 6 of the Smith-Adcock and Tucker (2023) textbook.
Develop the strategy from an intervention or prevention perspective that would be utilized when working with a child or adolescent between the ages of 6-16 years. Remember to be consistent with the theoretical approach chosen and apply only ONE specific theory (Adlerian Play Therapy, Attachment-Based Approaches, Gestalt Therapy, or Existential Therapy).
The assignment will be developed in 1-2 pages, using APA format where applicable and with a minimum of one (1) additional resource outside of the textbook or other resources already noted in the course.
Keep the writing in true third person and do not use I, me, my, our, us, we, this counselor in training. Scholarly writing keeps the author invisible to the reader.
I have uploaded the required textbook please read chapter 5 and 6. I have also uploaded other required sources
